23. Eye colour check.

This could be the easiest method to check your skin tone.

Examine your eyes properly for these colours.

*Pale brown/honey brown and blue coloured eyes indicates COOL undertone.

*Brown indicates WARM undertone.

*NEUTRAL undertone usually fall between these colours otherwise black colour.

Note that this method requires close examination and can be really tricky.

22. Gold and silver jewelry/ aluminum foil.

This method allows you to use a gold and silver foil which reflects your skin on it or better still gold and silver jewelry to check which fits your skin best.

When you hold up the gold and silver foil against your face or skin, you want to check for which reflects better, glows your skin, you want to check if both look good with your skin too.

*If the silver foil makes your skin glow, your have a COOL skin tone.

*If the reflection from the gold foil looks great and reflects better, you have a WARM skim tone.

*It's also possible not to be able to determine which looks better or reflects better. If this is the case then of course your skin tone is NEUTRAL.

You could use a gold and silver plated jewelry to check this as well, you'll notice which fits you better.

Put up the jewelry against your wrist, substitute the test we saw with the foil and then determine your skin tone.

21. White Paper Contrast.

In this method, you'll be needing a mirror and of course a white paper.

Here, you want to hold up the white paper in contrast to your skin and then use the mirror to check up how your skin contrasts to the paper.

Could be a grey, yellow, rosy, pale pink.

These are possible colours you'd see on the paper.

*You'll know if your skin has a COOL TONE if you have a pale pink, rosy contrast.

"If you notice a warm contrast on the paper, you have a WARM Tone.

*If you can't tell the exact colour of contrast you're getting, then you've got a NEUTRAL skin Tone.

Some people would notice a grey cast on the paper. It's a blend between the yellowish overtone and the green undertone and so you fall just between neural and warm skin tone. You could play with colours a bit as well.

There are four more ways to determine your skin tone (undertone).

I'll relay the four of them in different excerpts of successive posts.

I'll tell you what colours of lipstick, powder and foundation shades, eyeshadow and even what colours of cloth to put on.

Note that these suggestions are dependent on your skin tone, not what you want.

Figuring your undertone through

The color of the veins on your wrist, check✔️

Reaction of your skin to sunlight and melanin content, check✔️

White paper and mirror method, check no. 21.

Gold and/or silver jewelry/foil, check no. 22.

Eye color, check no. 23.

Looking up for the colour of skin behind the ear, check no. 24.

MY EXPERIENCE.(episode 1)

MY IDEAL BODY SPRAY/PERFUME.

I love the aura of water.

Hahahaha! I know you're wondering, how does water smell like?

Well I too I don't know. I don't know how to explain it but I'll try.

I know they've told you water is a colourless, odourless liquid. Lol!

I don't agree with that. I think water has a colour.

It's just that we've not been able to give it's colour a name so we call it colourless.

Well, maybe "colourless" should be the name of the colour of water.

If water is really colourless then why is it visible?

I think the only element of creation without a colour is Air.

And if one day we finally see air then we might want to give it a colour also.

So am I saying anything that's visible has a colour?

Anything that's visible isn't colourless?

Yes.

Fast forward.

So we were talking about the odour of water.

Note that I am not talking about the odour or hydrogen sylphid or the odour of some sewage water, certainly not.

I'm talking about clean, fresh water.

Infact, I think you can only perceive this odour while drinking water.

If you drink a lot of water like me, you probably would have noticed this aura I'm talking about.

Yes, that's almost the only way to perceive this.

So I love this odour and I want to smell like it.

But then, I can't be smelling like water Only all along, I think it's boring.

So there's this scent I love as well.

Lol! Stop guessing, it's LAVENDER!

I love the scent of Lavender. It has a floral, woody, sweet and relaxing aura, gosh!

Practically, if you're stressed, the scent of lavender can keep you relaxed.

I don't want to dwell much on lavender, let's move.

I also love banana! I know most of us can relate to this one.

I remember I used to eat a bunch of banana a day when I was 14!

My mum is a trader so there's this African county she used to travel to source her goods.

Anytime she goes to buy her goods, it excites me a lot.

Not that I love her absence but the fact that she ALWAYS come back with numerous bunches of banana each time! Oh gosh! I'm salivating already.

So I'd go to school, I was in secondary school then, junior college actually.

I'd go to school but I've got pictures of bananas in my head, I can't wait to get home and devour them!

My mum would buy them unripen, she's an expert in hauling fruits, especially banana. So she'd put them in a basket, cover them with a clean wrapper and then instruct me to water them every morning and night.

I don't miss it, I water them every now and then until they ripen and turn YELLOW!

Gosh! Let me stop here please.

Just know there was a time I used to eat a bunch or two bunches per day.

I remember I stool a lot then.

So now you know my most fascinating scents. Water, Lavender and Banana.

I want a body spray or perfume that has a Blend of these three scents.

I get bored easily so I LOVE BLENDS.

This is what I mean when I say; "what do you want from a brand?"

You can't order a company to produce what you want but you can scout for the brand that has what you want right?

So how do you want people to perceive you?

You walk around with a lot of charisma when you're satisfied with the aura you exert hence your CONFIDENCE is UNBROKEN.

Will I find my ideal brand?

Hell yes!

I'm well aware of what I want already, the rest is logistics.

There are lots and lots and lots of cosmetic brands, perfumeries, et al.

So if you don't know what you need, what you want, you'll buy anything anyone presents to you.

Note that there's a difference between what you want and what you need.

We'll talk about that later, I promise.

I'll tell you how to do the scouting but first, what do you want?

I don't think it enhances beauty alone.

Beauty enhancement alone is too external for a thing that builds your confidence.

When you're wearing that make up.

Cream.

Lotion.

Powder.

Perfume.

Whatever it is that makes you look and feel better, try to figure a way to resonate it with your emotions.

You'll get a better result.

Here's a few questions to ask while or before choosing a product from any brand.

What do I want out of this product?

Do I want a glowing skin?

Do I want to compensate the flaws on my face with this powder?

Maybe your skin is already flawless.

But your face is always exposed to sunlight while your body is always covered so there's a slight tone difference.

How can you protect your face, preserve your skin tone so your face and body wouldn't look different?

So now you're about to choose a brand, does this brand resonate with the answers to the questions you've asked?

Will this lotion fit my skin and then restore the colour of my face while it blends with my skin?

If you don't know how to answer these questions and any other question you've got, you'll keep running from one brand to another without satisfaction.

Guess what?

You'll be frustrated.

You might even get depressed.

Now your confidence is low or almost lost.

When you're out, you feel like you're not complete, it deals with your emotions.

It tampers your confidence.

I understand.
That's why I want you to know that you're not only enhancing your beauty by applying the right cosmetic, the right product from the right brand.

That's too external.

You're building your confidence as well.

So I want to tell you how to identify the right brand.
