More and more Earth Guardians
are coming to share their stories
at our last words ALOUD. Family Open Mic
at Words Bookstore Café
We are so lucky to have Tanushree Mathur share the story of how her aunt Sangita of has been sowing seeds of sustainable thinking by working with marginalized farmers, interns, home gardeners, kitchen enthusiasts, scientists and horticulture experts for 19 years in Bangalore, India. Annadana has run programmes for schools, trained more than 3,00,000 people through farm trails and workshops. They teach them how to grow their food and practice a sustainable lifestyle.
We would love to do the same here in Bahrain. Yippee !
And if seed saving and planting trees
is not your thing,
maybe and
will motivate you
to join in their beach clean ups
or come up with your own initiative
Or maybe you would like to get crafty
and recycle candles and crayons like
We will also be sharing the story of
"Uno's Garden" by Graeme Base.
It is a picturebook about
how we all affect the environment and
how we can learn from our mistakes and
find ways of doing things better.
And last but not least,
we are excited to hear from
our poets, musicians, storytellers,
and performers of all ages.
