workshop KLEDING HACKEN
want niemand past overal in
Confectiekleding komt in gigantische hoeveelheden, maar alles in een beperkt aantal maten en modellen, om vooral veel winst te maken bij een commerciële handel in kleding. Dat heeft weinig te maken met aandacht of zorg voor onze individuele lichamen. Dus gaan wij hacken wat we in handen krijgen zodat het wel gaat passen.
Kom naar de workshop voor een introductie en skillshare over kleding hacken, bouwen aan je vaardigheden en de grenzen van je kledingkast en stijl op te rekken.
We gaan samen op zoek naar manieren om te maken wat jij wil. Dat doen we door kleren die al bestaan te bewerken. Kleine onopvallende aanpassingen of drastische ingrepen om kleren groter, kleiner, langer of korter te maken, of die een betere pasvorm en meer draagcomfort opleveren. We knippen stukken weg, voegen dingen toe of na**en kledingstukken aaneen. Zo maken we zelf kleren die beter passen bij onze lichamen en stijl.
Kledij om te hacken, stikmachines, koffie/thee, etc. zijn voorradig. Je mag eigen machines, kleren of skills meebrengen, maar dat is niet nodig.
Het is allemaal gratis, maar als je het niet kan laten is er een donatiepot voor vrije bijdragen. Die helpt ons om bijvoorbeeld nieuwe naalden te kopen als we er eentje breken. Buiten de workshops ben je altijd welkom om zelf verder te werken tijdens openingsuren van de Klerezooi.

CLOTHING HACK workshop
cause one-size fits no one
Ready-to-wear clothing comes in huge quantities, but only in a limited number of sizes and models, to make a lot of profit of the commercial trade in clothing. This has little to do with love or care for our individual bodies. So we will hack the clothes that we have in store, to make them fit.
Come to these workshops for an introduction and skill-share in hacking clothes, building trust in your skills and expand the limits of your wardrobe and style.
Together we will look for ways to make what you want. We'll do that by adapting existing clothes. Small inconspicuous adjustments or drastic measures to make them bigger, smaller, longer or shorter or to have a better fit and provide wearing comfort. We cut away pieces, add things
or sew garments together. This way we make our own clothes that make a better match for our bodies and style.
Clothes to hack, sewing machines, etc. are alle here. You can bring your own equipment, clothes and skills if you want to, but it's not necessary.
It's free of charge, but you can leave something in our donation jar if you want. That helps us pay for expenses like when we break a needle or smth. You are always welcome to work on any project with our machines and clothes during the regular opening hours of the Klerezooi.
