For Olga & Niels 💕
What a beautiful day for such a lovely couple. Yes I know I’m beginning to sound like a broken record, but I honestly *loved* creating the flowers for this wedding !
From the very beginning, everything felt easy & enjoyable. i loved Olga and Niels’ energy, their openness and their wonderful sense of fun. We laughed during our consultations which made the whole experience even more special.
Quite often, I don’t get to see the couple on the actual wedding day—especially when, as is Belgian tradition, the groom collects the bridal bouquet. By then, I’ve usually finished the ceremony flowers long before they arrive and spend the rest of the day checking my watch, hoping they’re having thee best time.
So why do I get so invested? Well, those first consultations can take place more than a year before the wedding. There are emails, messages, meetings and conversations along the way, and even if we’re not in touch every week, there’s still plenty of time to get to know each other.
By the time the wedding arrives, I’m genuinely really excited for them—and yes a little emotional too.. I cried at this one.
Olga chose a beautiful palette of pinks and reds, filled with peonies, roses, dahlias, scabiosa, hypericum berries and a few anthuriums. The flowers suited them perfectly - Joyful through & through 💕
