Sunday, and the first one of a newly started pair of is done. And, this time, I have my notebook and pen, to write down exactly what I've done. I've just been improvising. In all honesty, this one wouldn't be hard to simply replicate, if for some reason I didn't just get on with the second sock straight away, but I'm trying to build better habits in terms of keeping notes of what I'm doing. I've knitted jumpers, socks, hats,... you name it... all intuitively, and with really good results, but I'm terrible at keeping a record of what I've done, so there's never a pattern to repeat afterwards. Even if there's no desire to repeat the same thing, I'm sure it will also help me to take the best parts and improve upon the lesser parts when I move on to a new project. So, here's to good intentions! 😁

Nog wat uurtjes voor de boeg, maar het einde komt in zicht!

Wil je graag meer weten over een dergelijk van jouw of een dierbaar familielid of andere persoon, stuur mij dan gerust een berichtje. Vanaf mei zijn er terug wat openingen voor op bestelling. Beschikbaarheid is beperkt, wegens het tijdsintensief karakter van dit soort werk, maar hiermee haal je wel een heel bijzonder en exclusief werk in huis.

As you can see when you scroll>>> this work is a combination of 2 reference photographs which were perfect to combine into one lovely scene where the sisters are looking at each other, signifying their unbreakable bond. Sadly one of them was cruelly taken away by a traffic accident, but she will remain forever here, in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives where touched by her.

This makes that this piece is extra special and symbolises all that which cannot be broken, that which goes on beyond our days here on earth.

Now the last have been applied and the piece has been given the all important and .
The last coat is drying right now.

Hier is reeds een eerste afgewerkt ontwerp, maar de keuze van de tekst is nog niet helemaal rond.
