Lace making always begins with the pattern, and for our ribbon lace we still create the patterns by hand.
The process starts by rolling out the ink, which is then used to print the pattern onto sturdy paper that serves as the working base for making the lace.
Next, the ribbon is basted onto the paper with large stitches. After that, all the stitches and overlapping sections are carefully sewn together by hand.
Step by step, this creates the finished ribbon lace.
