We are on a buying trip at the amazing Handarbeit and Hobby Show in Cologne, Germany. There is so much to see and if it isn't nailed down, it is stitched, knit, or crocheted. Cheese, anyone?

Embellishing cross stitch with beads and metallic threads has been enjoyed for quite a long time now, but have you ever stitched some of the cross stitch areas in another type of stitch?

Add dimension to your needlework by using satin stitch or fern stitch for leaves, clustering French knots in the center of a flower, or filling a wall with brick stitch. Have fun with your needlework this weekend!

It might be sunny and warm in your neck of the woods, but we are having another big snowstorm this weekend here in New England. Love to sit and stitch in front of the bay window (under an afghan, with a cup of tea, and my latest stitching project). Where is your favorite spot when you are cozy inside?
