এটি 3,500 বছর বয়সী কুকুরের একটি মমি,
এটি ছিল 1427 খ্রিস্টপূর্বাব্দের ফারাও আমেনহোটেপের পোষ‍্য কুকুর।

কুকুরটির সাথে ফারাও এর নেকলেস, এক বাটি জল এবং পারফিউমের বোতল সহ মমি করা পাওয়া গেছে।

কুকুরের এই মমিটি রাজাদের উপত্যকায় কবর KV50, যা প্রাণীদের সমাধি নামে পরিচিত, ভিতরে পাওয়া গেছে।

এটি ফেরাউন আমেনহোটেপ II এর পোষা প্রাণীদের মধ্যে একটি বলে মনে করা হয়, যিনি 1427 থেকে 1401 খ্রিস্টপূর্বাব্দের মধ্যে প্রাচীন মিশর শাসন করেছিলেন, এই সমাধিটি ফারাওয়ের সমাধির অতি নিকটবর্তী ছিল।

জুম'আর সালাত পড়তে এসেছি। অজুখানায় ঢুকে দেখি একটা বাচ্চা পানির কল ছেড়ে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে। ভাবলাম.. হয়তো পানি নিয়ে খেলা করছে। একেবারেই ছোট বাচ্চা। এই বয়সের বাচ্চারা সুন্দর কিছু দেখলে খেলায় মেতে ওঠে।

কিন্তু কাছে গিয়ে দেখি সে ওযু করছে। হাত ধোয়ার সময় বলছে— এক... দুই... তিন...। এভাবে তিনবার করে নিজের ছোট্ট ছোট্ট আঙুল দিয়ে হাত-পা ধৌত করছে।

তাকে বললাম— মাশা আল্লাহ। তুমি তো ভালোই ওযু করতে জানো দেখি!

আমার কথা শুনে ভাঙা ভাঙা বুলিতে সে যা বলল তা ছিল এমন—

'ওযু করা এক্কেবারে সহজ। এতে আমার অসুবিধা হয় না কখনও। অসুবিধা হয় নামাজে দাঁড়াতে গেলে। ছোট বলে সবাই আমাকে পেছনের কাতারে পাঠিয়ে দেয়। কিন্তু আমি তো অন্যদের মতো দুষ্টুমি করি না। তখন বরং ওদের দুষ্টুমির কারণে আমিও নামাজ পড়তে পারি না ঠিকমতো।'

বললাম— 'তোমার আব্বুর সাথে নামাজে দাঁড়াবে। তাহলে কেউ তোমাকে পেছনে পাঠাবে না।'

বলল— 'আব্বু মারা গেছেন। প্রতিবেলা নামাজের সময় হলে আম্মু আমাকে মসজিদে পাঠান। আর বলে দেন, আব্বুর সাথে দেখা করতে চাইলে; নামাজ পড়ে তার জন্য দুআ করো। তাহলে খুব তাড়াতাড়ি আব্বুর সাথে সুন্দর একটা জায়গায় তোমার দেখা হবে।'

এটি কোনো গল্প নয়। বাস্তব ঘটনা। জানি না.. কে সেই মহিয়সী; যিনি এমন পবিত্র ফুলের জন্ম দিয়েছেন। সালাম তাকে।
