So grateful for the opportunity to represent '71 at the business gathering hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia 🇮🇩🇧🇩
It was such an honor to share our vision with His Excellency and discuss how we can bridge the gap between our two countries through sustainable fashion.
I spent some time talking about our love for jute. It’s been a constant in every one of our collections, and since Bangladesh is officially home to the world’s best quality jute, we’re doubling down.
As a brand, we are trying to be more planet-friendly and are constantly looking for new, innovative ways to use this incredible Golden Fiber.
In 2026, our goal is to work with more local fabrics that are Bangladesh’s geographic indication. We are working on expanding our products to work, travel and wellness categories. Designs and sketches are on the work. Lots and lots of things to look forward to. 😊

The tragedy that unfolded yesterday at Milestone School has left us utterly devastated. As a new mother, my personal grief is immense, knowing the pain countless families are feeling. That's why this message is a little late; finding the right words has been incredibly difficult.

The news of so many lives lost, many of them students, some burnt alive, some giving in to their injuries before reaching help, has shattered our hearts. We mourn with every parent, every sibling, every friend who has lost a piece of their world. There are no words, no amount of sympathy, and certainly no compensation that can ever replace what has been taken from them. How can any parent feel safe sending their children to school after such a horrific failure of systems?

As if the initial tragedy wasn't enough, seeing crowds gather to film, not help, was sickening. It's a harsh reminder of how disconnected and desensitized we've become, even amidst deep suffering. This incident painfully reflects our collective failures.

From the entire '71 family, and from me personally, our deepest, most heartfelt condolences go out to all those affected by this unimaginable tragedy. We stand in solidarity with the Milestone community and all of Bangladesh during this incredibly dark time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

The only cure for grief is to grieve.
