HOW TO MAKE A CHEAP HEADPHONE SOUND EXPENSIVE!!
We all want a perfect headphone. We search for it, read hundreds of reviews, pay a whole lot of money and yet, we fail. People seem to never be satisfied with what headphones he has currently. Thus we see a huge market of headphones that markets their product by advertising how many drivers it has or the size of the drivers, the bass etc. But the truth is, no headphones are perfect, unless you custom tune it to the exact need of your ear.
Everyone's ear is different. Some have bigger ear drums, some have narrow, longer ear canal, some have wider initial ear holes. It is obvious that my perception of a great bass may not be more appealing to you, since your ear is designed to perceive detailed treble!
For years I searched for a good headphone but unlike a spoiled brat who spends thousands of taka for a good pair of headphones I found a much cheaper but a perfect solution. Today Instead of telling you which headphones to buy I am going to share to you a general guide which will help you tremendously and hopefully end the search you have been performing for years. So let's get to the point!
First things first! You need at least a moderate quality headphone. And while buying a new one, always, always focus on comfort. If you think wires are stupid, go ahead, get a wireless headphone. But make sure the headphone fits your ear. I have a large ear. So, I prefer headphones with large cushion cups! Make sure the headphone drivers are as big as possible. I bought a Havit H2002d Gaming Headset in 2019 mainly because it has a 53mm driver and a large cushiony cup! If you can get something similar, great! Smaller drivers provide clearer sound, but they need to be of great quality to achieve it. And they are generally overpriced.
Anyway, after buying your headphones I want you to go to this website below.
https://hearingtest.online/
Follow every step described here. This is mandatory. Find out your headphone audio curve.
Mine was something like image 1. I need to mention here, the weird sound curve is partly because of my Laptop’s audio driver, Conexant ISST and my damaged right side ear drum ( I have low sensitivity of bass on my right side ear)
Once you find it out. It’s time to equalize the sound and convert it to 7.1 3d sound!
Follow these steps exactly!
1. Go to these websites below and download both Equalizer APO and Hesuvi.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/
https://sourceforge.net/projects/hesuvi/
2. Install Equalizer APO. Select the experimental option. Once installed, do not restart the computer.
3. Install Hesuvi. Open Hesuvi and restart audio service.
4. Next Select your suitable HRIR. I prefer CMSS_rx.
5. Next go to equalizer and equalize while testing the sound in https://hearingtest.online/
My result image is attached.
You want an audio curve that looks flat. After that listen to any music and enjoy!
I hope this guide helped you. Please share this if it helped you.
