💚When the Crate was opened in December 2018, the plan was that we would function as a pop up shop for the season and then move our store online as well as have our products available in a few select locations around the island.
🦠Fast forward to March 2020 when our brick and mortar [reclaimed wood] store was still open but had to close indefinitely as a result of COVID. Although restrictions have been relaxed and our store is permitted to re-open we have made the tough decision not to stay open as we know it. Unfortunately, we will be closing our physical location next to the Mill at Canewood.
📱We love our little space and will miss it dearly but are looking forward to the opportunity to transform to an online e-commerce store with the option of island wide delivery and continuing to stock our products at a few select locations around the island that align with our ethos.
♻️The Crate one stop eco shop as we know it has served its purpose. As part of one of our founder’s passion projects, the vision was to start a conversation, spread awareness, help individuals become more conscious consumers and help to drive a movement and we feel as though this has been accomplished.
🇧🇧However the Crate team is not done. We have made a small change that has had a big impact and we will continue to guide our country and region to become more sustainable.
💛We would like to express deepest gratitude to our team for all of their hard work in helping to grow the Crate, to our vendors for trusting us to sell their products as we supported local and to all of our customers and others who supported us in one way or another throughout this part of the journey.
🌿As we enter a new stage of growth, we look forward to continuing on this journey with you. A small selection of our products are currently available at Walkers' World Barbados and we are also offering delivery on Fridays!
💻Our online store will be fully up + running in the next weeks so we will see you online soon!
