I’ve been a bit distant on here lately, and I know it.

Life has been full. I love my office but its been a bit chaotic in here lately . The markets have been good. But this space? I haven’t been showing up the way I could.
So my stretch goal for May is simple: show up more.
Not perfectly…. maybe not every single day. But more than I have been. More of the process, more of the pieces, some real moments that happen between the finished product and the post.
Some of you have been here quietly supporting me for years, and I want to do better by that. I want you to see more of what goes into Summer Gems. The gemstones I’m working with. The little wins. The days Buddy decides my workspace is his nap spot with his little paws turn upwards . The stuff that makes this feel less like a brand and more like... me.

I've been trying to get my hands on emerald for years… and I finally did it. 💚

Tomorrow, Brighton Farmers Market celebrates 25 years.
I’ve been there for 16 of them. So a story and a huge photo dump is necessary.

It’s been 16 years of setting up, watching the market grow, and soaking in all the little details that made it special. Sixteen years of meeting people who became friends, customers who became like family, and faces I see every week or every season when they fly back to the island. I’ve been there long enough to watch the little ones grow up. Kids who couldn’t even see over my table when I first met them. One in particular used to stand in my chair just so she could see what her mom and older sister were looking at. Now? I’ve watched those same kids grow into young adults , get married, start families, migrate , return to share a hug and build new lives. It’s surreal in the best way.

These photos are a walk down memory lane. A younger Kim. A smaller display. A quieter confidence. And now, a brand that feels fully like mine.
Brighton gave me more than a space to sell jewelry. It gave me a community. It gave me the courage to show my work, week after week, and trust that people would connect with it. It built the quiet confidence I carry with me now, both at the market and beyond.
So here’s to Brighton. To 25 years of farmers markets, island mornings, and the people who make it all feel like home.
