A dynamic and innovative company, Book Source prides itself on its ability to adapt to the constantly evolving book industry. From as early as 1989, we have established ourselves as leaders in the Caribbean diaspora. Book Source was the first company in the region to create a dedicated book ordering service, years before Amazon even hit the market. This service caters to the individua
l as well as libraries, government and corporate entities, providing single or multiple copies of titles. We have access to over 15,000 publishers worldwide where books are shipped and arrive within three (3) to seven (7) business days. Book Source’s access to over seven (7) million titles provides a truly useful service for our clients. In 1999, we expanded into academic retail sales with the establishment of a bookstore at the Barbados Community College. Keeping true to our vision of changing the way people look at books, we have developed an array of services to cater to the public’s needs. In this technological era, Book Source has responded to the market demand for a convenient online retail book store through the development of booksourceonline.com. Moving from providing only print books to including electronic books (or e-books) in our portfolio, Book Source has proven once again its innovation and ability to adapt in a changing industry. A section of our company, Caribbean Shared Educational Resource Services (CSERS) is the distributor of electronic academic books in the region. Through our author distribution service, we saw a need for the marketing and promotion of local, regional and international authors. In order to supply this demand, we built a division of our company called Caribbean Publishers Link. Under this division, we fostered an environment with a more intimate relationship between authors and their fans through our author event services. These services include our popular authors’ evening “Citrus Book and Poetry Night”, our book launches, book signings and author lounges at conferences and expos. Our appearances at conferences, expos and shows such as D Arts Lime, Barbados Association of Office Professionals Conference (BAOP), the Priority One Business Conference, the Central Bank’s cultural book days, the Food and Beverage Expo, Girlfriends Expo, Barbados Manufacturers Exhibition (BMEX), AnimeKon Convention, Caribbean Festival of Arts (CARIFESTA) and The National Cultural Foundation’s (NCF) Crop Over Read-IN, exposes readers to a wide variety of books. In marketing on a mass scale, we also feature our authors through the social media, our website, mailing lists, video interviews, television, radio, newspaper and any other medium which provides that extra push. Along with events targeted to the adult population, we promote the love for reading in young children through appearances at primary schools’ literacy weeks, World Kids Fair and a children’s lounge at BMEX. Your Law Source is another division of Book Source specifically targeted to lawyers around the region. Your Law Source specialises in the provision of law books and subscription packages to our clients.

In 2019, Barbados Association of Endometriosis and PCOS. developed and published a book about menstrual disorders. The settings of each story were specifically chosen to be as culturally competent as possible. Today we highlight a little of "Danielle's" Story. Danielle's mom has uterine fibroids.
