I'm opening a store front but...
My dream is to have a space solely for handmade businesses.
I have a love/hate relationship with pop-up events
Hear me out, I love meeting people, love the excitement when someone tries on a piece or admires my products. I love the conversations, the support, and the happiness people feel when they connect with something handmade.
That feeling will never gets old for me. 💕
As someone who pours love into every piece, moments like that mean everything.
Pop-up shops can also be exhausting.
The money and time spent, the stress of wondering if you’ll break break or make a profit, setting up and packing down, trying to stand out when there are four or five vendors selling almost the exact same thing. At some point it starts feeling like survival.
Talking to other vendors over the years we are tired.
We don’t go to markets just for “exposure” or “networking.” We go because this is our business, our passion, our livelihood. We go hoping to make enough to buy more supplies, invest back into our brands, pay our bills, and continue creating the things that we love.
Handmade businesses deserve better.
Much better than we've had in past.
Spaces where we don't feel threatened by a shein product.
That’s a huge part of what this little shop means to me.
Yes, it’s a place where you can come and find your favorite LocMuse Creations pieces. But it’s also becoming a space created with intention for other handmade businesses too. Unlike some markets, I’ll be carefully selecting the vendors that come into the shop.
I want people to walk in and truly feel the passion, creativity, and heart behind every item on the shelves.
A person staying up late, trying their hardest to build something meaningful and often times without support
I want this space to feel personal. I want customers to know who’s behind the brands they support. I want small businesses to feel seen, appreciated, and proud of what they create.
So if you have a favorite small business.
