In the early 1980s, piano technician Ara Vartoukian and his wife, Nyree, formed Theme & Variations Piano Services offering tunings, restoration, sales and hire services. The company has grown to produce a team of highly skilled and moti

vated staff who enjoy long-term relationships with customers and the respect of industry peers. The showroom is backed by a well-equipped workshop offering expert after-sales service. Our workshops are renowned for quality tuning, rebuilds and restorations. Theme & Variations have been providing pianos to prominent concert and education venues for many years including the Sydney Opera House, the City Recital Hall, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and many more. Whether it is a concert grand or a beginner piano, Theme & Variations will offer the highest level of customer care with back-up service that is second to none. Joshua Han is the recipient of the 2025 Theme & Variations Foundation Award - an initiative dedicated to supporting outstanding young artists through mentorship, performance opportunities, professional development, and financial assistance as they continue to grow their musical careers.

We are proud to support Joshua in this exciting recital, featuring a dynamic program of works by Mozart, Beethoven, Stravinsky/Agosti, and Bach/Busoni - showcasing dazzling virtuosity and artistry across a diverse range of repertoire.

April 24 marks Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day - 111 years since the beginning of the Armenian genocide, and a moment to reflect on history, memory, and the lives affected.

Recently, Armenian pianist Eva Gevorgyan’s performance in Yerevan with the Armenian Symphony Orchestra was significant in highlighting how deeply music is connected to identity, history, and cultural resilience across generations.

We warmly invite our community and friends to an intimate and extraordinary evening of music in support of the Theme & Variations foundation.

Internationally celebrated pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk, widely acclaimed as on of the most electrifying pianists
performing today, will present an exclusive recital alongside rising star Joshua Han, a Foundation 2025 Award Winner.

For this special salon-style event, two Steinway grand pianos will share the stage as Sasha and Joshua
perform a thrilling program featuring works by Mozart, Stravinsky, Rachmaninov and Liszt, culminating in the
dazzling two-piano ‘Burleske’ by Richard Strauss, a rare and exhilarating work that promises an unforgettable musical experience.

This special evening is the Foundation’s principal annual fundraiser, with a goal of raising $50,000 to support exceptional young Australian pianists and we are delighted to share the evening with a small circle of
supporters who believe in nurturing exceptional young Australian musicians.

We would be delighted to welcome you for this rare and inspiring evening of music and philanthropy.
Following the recital, guests will enjoy a glass of wine and elegant refreshments, with the opportunity to meet
and speak with Sasha and Joshua in an intimate setting.
