Huge thank you to the gorgeous Emma Swan for bringing her Cruise Ship Kid magic to Derwent Valley Bridge Community Library yesterday & being so brilliantly inspiring! 🥰

The Floofs are very special to us, it’s the first book my little boy picked up & sat down next to me to read independently ❤️ a very proud mummy moment!

When writing puts you so firmly in somebody else’s shoes, that you feel almost dizzy when you close the book & return to your own life.

The First Year & The Final Year follow Nate through his journey from primary to secondary school & everything that life throws at him along the way. It’s a story of resilience, how we draw strength from family & friendships… & how words & creativity bring us strength too.

Six Weeks follows Alfie through his journey with grief, healing & hope. I read this in one sitting last night & I can still feel every word, each characters perspective. This one will stay with me for a very long time.

These books are incredible. Matt Goodfellow’s writing instils empathy like no other.

These books remind us that we all have different stories but when it boils down to it, we’re all human. And if we can bring ourselves to look for it, there’s always some light to find in the shadows🧡
