Hello Patchwork world,
This is Briony typing right now and I wanted to I’ve you all an update on Blue Willow, things we have been up to and things we having, over the last 6-8 months.

First, the Question I get asked the most, when is the Dragon Quilt going to be released? This quilt has been a long time coming the the excitement you guys have been displaying has truly touch me. As you may remember, I did give a release date for last year, however, between global plagues,  physical injuries, mental states, and technology break downs that date had to keep getting pushed back.
I can finally say that “Dragon Studies” is now finished and ready for sale. I’ll be making a release post either tonight or tomorrow, but you don’t need to wait, you can call us now to order.

Next, where have you been/Why haven’t you been on FB? I’m really sorry about this one guys. Like for a lot of people, last year was both a roller coaster and a long monotonous wait at the dentist office when you know you have to get a filling. I don’t want to go to much into it, but the second Victorian lockdown hit my mental state hard. Something which I didn’t really recognise until I was out of what I call the “Lockdown Fog”. After the lock down we almost went strait into school holidays. For thoughts of you not in the know, my day job is at Werribee Open Range Zoo (Yes besides Blue Willow I have the best job ever) so very busy three months. I also felt guilty about being so blue when many more Australian and people world wide had it worse due to pandemic. But then an awesome co-worker told me something that I really want to share with you. “Just because someone else is in more pain then you doesn’t make your pain any less”. It helped me and I hope It helps you.

Last, What next? Honestly I’m not to sure. We do wish to continue seeing you all at the craft shows, but we will have to wait and see what surprises, good or bad, are in store for us this year. I do know that the craft show organisers have not give up and been working really hard to bring the shows back once its safe to do so. I will continue to create new designs and patterns for your enjoyment including a new Paris themed bag, another Mandala Sunset pattern, a Christmas Quilt and more. I really do want to create a website however I am technologically stunted, I still design using a pencil and paper, so FB and Instagram will have to do for now. All of our new designs are in our FB albums and will be adding the older designs as I re-photograph them.

Hello beautiful people,
So a little while ago I announced that I new a dragon quilt would be released on the 3rd July. Some of you may have noticed that the 3rd has come and gone and no release.
Unfortunately the release has had to be postponed as the project have a little setback. More accurately I had a setback. 😓
What was the setback you my ask? Well My right thumb got slammed in the car door by me and I got a hairline fracture in the tip. Yes I did it to myself.
As you can imagine sewing without your right thumb is incredibly difficult, so the last block has taken longer than expected.
We are putting the final touches on the quilt now and hopefully fingers crossed 🤞🏻 (as my thumb still hurts a little 😅) it will be out sometime next week.
Thank you all for your patience and show of interest in these dragons. It gives me the warmest feeling inside seeing all of your wonderful comments.
