You get some guitars that have been looked after and some less so. Halfway through cleaning a really grubby neck. Frets and fretboard not much better.

Burnt* 1973/4 Gibson J-55 repair. The new owner, didn't want a new soundboard etc, but a repair that maintained its character. The new parts were scorched. before a respray. Sounds and plays great.!!
(* I like to think domestic dispute, - but then I'm a romantic)

Thin hollow-body Framus from the 50s I think. Work included removal of bent metal rod from the neck, inserting a hardwood fill, then routing and inserting a truss rod, repairing the neck, including the headstock joint and inserting splines, re-fret, and setup.

Restored this sweet little guitar for a customer. It was produced around the late 1950s, early 60s, by the Victorian Banjo Club as a student guitar. It was hollow bodied, built mainly of three-ply and chipboard. Keeping the original pickups, the pots, switch and wiring has been upgraded, a hardwood block inserted to accommodate a new wraparound bridge, new zero fret, level and recrown of frets cleanup. Looks cool, sounds good.
