Australian's have decreased the amount of compostable material they put into their garbage bins by 5% over the past 2 years. Whoop Whoop!
This might not seem like a lot but it's a movement that we all need to make to ensure we can get this number higher and do what's right for the environment.

The more awareness we can bring to people, sharing stories about what and how you compost in your house will help other people see the benefits of doing it themselves.

We are not just changing the amount of plastic products that goes out into the environment, we want to change the way we look after this beautiful place we call home!

By reducing plastic in our water ways we are helping them stay clean and clear to be able to drink and grow food for us to eat. 🚰

By reducing plastics and keeping them out of our bins they will not blow out on a windy day and end up with a animal thinking it's food to eat and causing harm. 🐨

By reducing plastics we are making sure we provide a better future for our children and generations to come, showing them the importance of using compostable products that not only help us, but everything on earth. 🧒👧

If your someone that lives in the city, take a drive to the country, where the trees grow tall and there is green grass everywhere.🌳
If you live in the country, either look out your back door or go to your local nature reserve.

Please take time to sit down, go for a walk and admire the beautiful scenery. 🏞

DID YOU KNOW?

- Things like plastic bags and other plastic packaging items can end up in a platypus home.
- 10% of platypus captured by scientist in Melbourne's waterways have long term injuries due to plastic in their environment.
- Platypus search for food using there bills which can get stuck in plastic rings and cause damage. Or they might think that the plastic bag is food and digest it which can have serious consequences.

Help out our animal emblem of New South Wales by keeping this species out of extinction and use compostable packing.

Today's act of kindness is brought to you by Chloe at Kindness Pack:
To use the trolleys at the supermarket now, you need a coin to unlock them for use. I went to get a trolley and found someone had left a coin in there for someone else to use the trolley./ It made my day because I had the wrong set of keys on me that day, and didn't realise until I went to get a trolley. Thank you for the kindness of that human who left a coin in their for me. Once I had finished the shopping, I went to put the trolley back and saw a lovely fella looking through his coin purse for a coin to put in the trolley.
I said to him, "Here you go mate, use this trolley!"
He replied, "What about your money?"
"It wasn't mine to start off with- I'm just paying it forward!" I made his day!

An act of kindness was shown to me, so I showed the same act of kindness to someone else.

Showing someone or something kind can create a ripple effect and keep the kindness going.
