CURRENTLY AT CAMOOWEAL BILLABONG
The billabong has alot of water since the floods went threw.
Seen alot of Broglas , ducks ,waterlillies.
Amazing beauty.
Will be travelling to Katherine N.T.to do the gorge, then travel the gibb river rd in W.A., hoping to get some amazing photos of the gorges, waterfalls, landscapes, birdlike.
Looking forward to doing some paintings there.

"A LIGHTENING STRIKE "
If you have the experience to see a massive storm and lightening it can be amazing and scary especially when trees explode.
I haven't seen one explode as yet, but seen the after effects next day.
I did see a pine tree split down the centre ,just like an axe had gone straight down the centre, from top to bottom.
I love watching the sheet lightening going across the sky just on dark, and if you are lucky you will see different colours.
Who likes lightening storms like me, would love to here from you.

Why did l call this strike me Lucky?
If it was me ,with the truck so high off the ground, it wouldn't be strike me Lucky, because everything off the ground must return to the ground with a bang or a crash.
They don't make them like today.

My inspiration for this painting was that l heard a story about a couple of guys who tryed there luck at opal mining and struck it lucky.
In a short time they made over 12 million dollars.
They kept mining and never made another DOLLAR.
I painted a picture of a mining truck with a truck load of opals.
As they say, lightening never strikes in the same place twice
Hope this story gives you encouragement to visit Lightning Ridge and you never know, you might get the bug to mine,...
