She is a pharmacist by trade, but her real passion is crafting, sewing and anything fabric related! Over the last few years she has grown her business, starting with attending markets with her range of handmade goods to now stocking a huge range of quality designer fabrics at reasonable prices. Kara’s love of fabric started as a child. Always sitting next to her mum while she was sewing, waiting f

or the offcuts so she could make something for her dolls. As she got older, her creativity grew and she was allowed to use her mum’s sewing machine to turn these visions into reality! Today, that same sewing machine is still what she uses to create her products. Kara’s decision to stock a range of designer fabrics came from the inability to find the variety and quality of fabrics she was after locally, and the expense associated with ordering from overseas. She knew that, with this gap in the fabric market locally, she was not the only one struggling to find affordable quality designer fabrics. And so, Stitch Fabric & Design was born! Since then, the Stitch Fabric range has grown to almost 450 different prints with more added weekly. Stitch Fabric & Design offer you the option of online shopping, as well as popping in to her home in Traralgon and helping you choose the right fabrics to make your projects extra special. Kara also attends lots of local markets and LOVES to meet all the local customers that support her little business!

We are at the Glengarry market again today until 1pm! Charlie’s slime bar is ready to go- create your own slime with lots of scents and charms to choose from.
The sun is finally popping through the clouds, it’s looking like a beautiful day to be out and about. I have restocked my sleeved gardening gloves and vibrant scarves, come and have a browse 🌻

I’m all stocked up with all the favourites for the Creators Collective Makers Market tomorrow at Lardner Park 🙌
The weather is not looking fabulous but the majority of this market is indoors and you won’t be disappointed with range and quality of stalls.
There has been so much work behind the scenes from volunteers to get this market up and running, we would love you to show your support. Come and start your Christmas shopping if you haven’t already, or pick up the last few things you need to tick off your list 🎄

Tomorrow i’ll be attending my first market in almost 2 years!! 🥳 Yay! 🙌

The CWA ladies have organised an amazing event and as an added bonus the Sale producers market is also on at the same venue!

Come and see some clever local artisans and wander through the market stalls at the Sale Showgrounds from 9am - 3pm tomorrow!
