A saturday in the garden is ALWAYS a saturday well spent if you ask me
Yesterday Darbs and I added two new gorg garden beds to our backyard, framing the studio perfectly!
Right now they mightn’t look as cottagey and colourful as you’d expect a fresh garden to look, but that’s because the majority of it is filled with ranunculus seedlings! So come spring, these beds are going to be so so abundant!!!! 🥰
Also, Darby gifted me some climbing roses for Valentine’s this year (before we even had the studio built, so cute) with the intention of training them up the front of the studio one day. (such a dream)
Until yesterday, they’ve sat near the studio in little sad nursery pots, watching us potter around everyday patiently waiting their turn! So it was very special to finally plant them in the ground, and it truly is now starting to feel like a proper ‘pinch me’ moment given how close we are to finishing this project. Eeeep!!! 🏡
I pruned the roses back hard a few weeks ago, so they should come back very happy just in time for summer. I think these new garden beds might just be my favourite ones yet ✨🥰
What do you think? 🥹🌷
