Not every sapphire is crystal‑clean — and they don’t need to be.

This little parti sapphire has a few inclusions, and that's completely normal!
Inclusions are natural features formed as the crystal grows.
They can tell us where the stone came from, how it formed, and that it’s genuinely natural.
And honestly… they give the gem a bit of personality.

Perfectly imperfect, just the way nature made it.

This time last week we were bumping in for the Jewellery Industry Fair… and then promptly forgot to take photos because we were having too much fun.
Here’s a couple I did manage to snap — proof we were there, alive, caffeinated, and talking sapphires nonstop.

In your face floods😁 🚁Come hell or high water — literally — we were getting to the Melbourne JIF.

Yesterday Steve’s parents were flown into our place by helicopter over floodwater so we could make our flight.
A wild start, but we’ve landed safely in Melbourne and we’re ready for an incredible weekend at the fair. Lets go!💪

Happy Sunday from fossicking country
Sharing a little eye‑candy today — a seriously cool sapphire specimen 😍
This one shows a great example of a trigonal growth hillock on a tabular end of a sapphire crystal. Not only a cool specimen but also a beautiful piece of facetable rough, mother nature’s must of been in a artistic mood when she created this beauty!
