I know it’s been a long long time since I posted anything and I regret that i have not been very active in my little handmade business doing more markets. However, markets this year have been the worst in many, with many business folding and not making stall fees (🙋🏼♀️me included on more than one occasion) which is heart breaking when we show up week after week after week.
Times are tough for all of us with the financial squeeze that is the cost of living which has been on all of us these last few years with this possibly being the worst.
My job as a Locum pharmacist has taken me to some amazing places this last year and halted my markets so I can obtain a regular income.. And I am ever grateful for that also. Some of the cutest towns with clocks still in the Main Street, kangaroos on the front lawn and sunset and sunrise heaven over the ocean. Not to mention the wonderful people I get to meet.
I love making pegs, but it doesn’t always pay the day to day bills. So, I like most small businesses (having other jobs) am doing what I know how to do best to achieve a steady income.
In the lead up to Christmas I was hoping to do some markets in the Newcastle area like I have always done for the last 10 years…however, I will still be away working.
I am still sending online via post. My partner is the best packer and poster I know! He has got this! He had your orders covered and fast! And I will take all I need away with me to make and post after working hours so that all your Christmas Peggy needs are fulfilled. ❤️🇦🇺
