After a really interesting meetup with Eve Elias, Kristin Rohan, Carl and Louise on Tuesday night PopUp.Sydney has had a new lease of life. Our website is underway so we are looking forward to popping out some love, news, listings soon. Popups we love: SorryThanksIloveyou.com have popped up in the beautiful GPO building on Martin Place, Sydney. Open Mon-Fri, 8am - 7pm and 10-5 on weekends, they offer beautiful handmade gifts as well as fresh flowers, gourmet food and craft beverage delivery. Their popup is light, clear and charming, offering a broad range of giftage from cute infant clothes to beautiful leather bags. Caroline, of SorryThanksIloveyou said that as an online service and store, it's great to be able to pop up to give customers the chance of experiencing their brand first hand. They spotted the empty retail space in the GPO and approached the landlord personally, negotiating good rent and short lease. Popups we have loved: and in The Art Hole, Central Park. This wonderful popup housed the complementary artistic wanderings of 2 great Sydney artists: cupco and captain pipe. Originally in a building in Darlinghurst, just behind Oxford Street, then rehoused in the Central Park complex in Ultimo, the space provided work as well as retail opportunities. Managed by BrandX (www.brandx.org.au), Cupco and CaptainPipe were invited to share a 5 month tenancy together in 2014. Brand X work with the City of Sydney to provide temporary tenancies for artists, musicians and performers. They are poptastic

Popups we have loved. Love And West a clothing and homewares label, pops up regularly in Coogee. A therapies practice during the week, the store is often unused of a Saturday and Love And West regularly set up a store, that looks like it could permanently exist there. There's great public transport servicing Coogee, good parking nearby and one of the best beaches in sydney to cool off in after some retail therapy.
