En historias de ex-becarios, queremos compartirles con mucha alegría el logro de Gabriel Covarrubias Artist, un nuevo artista mexicano que se graduó de la Academia de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Normal de Shaanxi. Su proyecto de maestría "El Canto de las Aves," un hermoso libro que combina ilustraciones, caligrafía y poesía, pasó de ser un proyecto de graduación a una publicación que ahora vende a través de su propia editorial .

Su libro está inspirado en cuatro poemas en náhuatl, traducidos al chino mandarín, del libro "Totomej Intlajtol, La Lengua de los Pájaros", del Autor Juan Hernández Ramírez, poeta Veracruzano de origen Nahua.
