PalmAvenue where have you been?!
✨
Wow! Its been almost 5 years since I started Palm Avenue. I started PA because I enjoy designing and being creative, making things for myself then friends and it grew but the past 2 years has been such a whirlwind that I had to step away for a while.
So what have I been up to?
My partner and I went on a sailing adventure. ⛵️
When we returned I learned of my dad’s illness and sadly he has since passed away. I was so fortunate to be able to drop everything and spend some time with him during his final 6 weeks.
At the same time, my sewing machine malfunctioned and my creative spark disappeared with it. 😞 
On the day of dads passing I became a cat mum to dad’s beloved Buddy the cat. 🐈‍⬛️ 
Christmas was here and I thought I’d spend the break recovering, settling Buddy in and getting him used to our boat so we could have some more mini adventures. I would repair my sewing machine and get back to creating.
But... life had other plans for us.
I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant! Now I have a beautiful boy - Reef. 🥰
Pregnancy was the hardest most physically challenging thing I’ve ever done. But, being a mummy to this little man and spending all my days/nights with him, has been the best thing I believe, I will ever do.
Finally, I’m feeling my creative spark trying to break through and I want to put my energy into something fun.
I haven’t found someone to repair my sewing machine and I have a few personal sewing endeavours as well as some other creative ideas.
But I am ready to juggle full time mum to Reef, Buddy the cat and start creating again.
