Times have been turbulent for most of us, with an ongoing pandemic, lockdown, home schooling and more, there isn't anyone whose life hasn't been impacted. Mental and physical wellbeing is important more than ever and it can get challenging to stay on top of it all while being trapped working remotely.

How do you keep staff motivated and improve staff morale? Below are some simple suggestions.

1) Schedule regular 1-1 calls to check in on them, not only from a work delivery perspective but from a personal one too.

2) Arrange virtual team sessions such as virtual team lunch or virtual team quizzes & games.

3) Announce staff achievements among team members , no matter how large or small.

4) Keep staff updated on both short- and long-term strategic company plans.

5) Ask them what they like and dislike about their current role and work arrangement and find ways to expand on their likes and minimize their dislikes.

6) Send them a care package that includes a variety of items, from wellbeing tea to snacks and positive affirmations quotes.
