This week has been a hard and challenging one. There is so many things that made me consider whether or not I want to pursue this dream of mine or not.

The truth is YES social media is great for boosting small businesses but no one is ever mentions the flip side of small businesses that have not managed to get that “viral video” or even just that one sale.

Scrolling through social media becomes depressing for those small business owners as they see other businesses post about their sales and no it’s not because of jealousy or that you are unhappy for them but purely because you start questioning yourself, your abilities and most importantly your dreams.

This weekend had me reflecting on why I started crafting in the first place and the reason was simply because it’s what I love to do.

So often we get caught up in the business aspect and forget to enjoy what we do and let the universe do the it’s magic.

So this morning I got up and made a decision to forget about the sales, get inspired by those businesses that are blooming, and most importantly do what I love which is craft to make myself happy!

To other small business owners that’s are facing the same struggle. Here’s your reminder that the best is yet to come!!!

Introducing our mental health matters collection of badge pins that is handmade by our 5 year old daughter Mila.

She has always being a quiet and reserved child however starting kindergarten has added a new dimension to things as she is struggling with her self esteem and feels she can’t make friends and she is not good enough. I use gentle ways to remind her that she is good enough and when I made her these pins for her backpack she was so excited to make these for her friends and it made her feel so accomplished.

That’s when I had the idea to introduce this collection to our range as a way of her feeling the same joy I experience when someone purchases something I put love into creating.

PS: All sales from this collection will go towards dance lessons for Mila to boost her confidence and allow her to make friends other than those in school.
