Been very busy getting ready for the Australian Barbie Convention "It's Showtime!" on August 22-24, and also for the Doll Collectors Club of NSW Fair tomorrow and Sunday. Just got the initial set up done this afternoon, bit more tizzying to do tomorrow morning. Hope to see some of you there :).

"It's Showtime!", the 21st ABC national Barbie convention, will be held in Sydney in 2025 from Friday 22nd August until Sunday 24th August. It will be held at the Pullman Sydney Airport Hotel, which is offering a discounted rate of $250 per night for a twin or king room.
Registration for Early Birds is available until the end of the year and costs $495, which includes the Cocktail party on Friday evening, morning/afternoon tea and lunch on Saturday and Sunday and dinner on Saturday night. It also includes talks and workshops, salesroom, the fashion parade, competitions, games, prizes, the opportunity to get amazing raffles, and most importantly, spending a fabulous weekend with other Barbie lovers. Purchase of a convention doll (for $135) is an optional extra, though most delegates do purchase the doll.
Those who are not currently members of the ABC Club may register at the discounted Early Bird rate but do not have to pay the $25 Club membership fee until January 2025.

And another blog post is up, about US Barbie Convention. This week, dozens of Australian Barbie fans join nearly 1000 delegates in Orlando Florida for the 2024 Convention "A Doll For All Seasons". To my many friends attending - have a great time! (and I will try not to be green with envy!)
