Some of you may remember we posted late last year about an exciting project that Peter was getting involved in. Well things have been happening and we can now fill in a few blanks. After many years selling vinyl Peter is now getting involved in producing a vinyl release. If you were regularly seeing bands in Sydney across 2019 to 2025 there is a good chance you saw The Black Cardinals. One of Sydney's finest rockin' bands with an amazing arsenal of killer original tunes. Rudely interrupted by Covid and then forced to call it a day due to circumstances beyond their control. Peter, along with good mate Simon Bell, decided that the band should not disappear without a physical artefact to mark their time on earth! With the help of Martin Carr from Rizz Records and Eric Vong and Jonny Goldrick from the band we carefully put our plan into action. The vinyl is now being pressed and the stellar artwork is being printed. We are only pressing 150 copies and they will be hand numbered. Additionally, the first 100 will come with a free CD with similar but different artwork. Pre-orders will go live soon and we will post the link on our page as will Rizz Records. I will post a link to one of the tracks on the album in the comments. More to come..... 😍

We had a ball at the Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival last weekend 🙌 A fun Cronulla Record Fair on the Saturday followed by a day enjoying the festival on Sunday. Here is a photo dump of our Sunday! A great festival - one to mark in your diary for 2027 😎

Queen released their fourteenth studio album in 1991. "Innuendo" was the last Queen album issued while Freddie Mercury was alive. Sadly he passed nine months after the album had reached number one on the U.K. charts. Released in the CD era it is quite hard to find on vinyl but we will have this original copy in our crates at the Cronulla Record Fair this Saturday 30 May 🤩

"Blue Sky Mining" was the seventh studio album released by Midnight Oil. It peaked at number one on the Australian charts and it won album of the year at the 1991 ARIA Awards. Released on the cusp of the CD era vinyl copies are not as easy to find as it's predecessor "Diesel and Dust". We will have this original copy in our crates at the Cronulla Record Fair on Saturday 30 May 🤩

Free music all day at Dunningham Park & Cronulla Park and many other venues hosting free music with the Cronulla Record fair only a short stroll away at the Gunnamatta Pavillon!! 1000's of records and CD's covering all genres, help spread the word by sharing our event..

Miles Davis released "Water Babies" in 1976 while he was temporarily retired. It compiled recordings Davis had done with his quintet in 1967 and 1968. It also contained out - takes from his 1968 album "Nefertiti". We will have this copy in our crates at the Cronulla Record Fair on 30 May 🤩

Jefferson Airplane released their fourth studio album in 1968. It's predecessor "After Bathing at Baxter's" barely charted and the band felt pressure to restore their commercial standing. "Crown of Creation" was a true group effort with all band members contributing to the songwriting and decision making. The album crafts a psychedelic link from the summer of love to the tumult of the closing years of the decade. The album peaked at number six on the U.S. charts. We will have this original copy in our crates at the Cronulla Record Fair on 30 May 🤩

"The Jungle" was originally released by B.B. King in 1967 on Atlantic Records. It is a powerful collection of singles spanning 1962 to 1967. It showcases King transitioning from upright bass to heavier electric bass and from jazzy horn arrangements to punchier soul arrangements. We will have this copy in our crates at the Cronulla Record Fair this Saturday 8 November 🤩
