Thank you for sharing our story. So proud of my beautiful Kai 💙👦🏼 and I know his Daddy will be smiling down on him. Thank you for such a blessing in helping my Kai connect with his Dad and helping him find healing in his heart spending time in the ocean which Greg loved dearly 🌊💙🏝

We all have a story and some chapters you may not want to read out loud. But, we’re allowed to share this one.
Our umbrella at SalTy’s is broad & this little guys journey is part of the reason we intend to keep it that way.

You see, Kai was referred to us. He has had his own struggles and now recently lost his dad. His dad had started to teach him to surf, but sadly he didn’t get the chance to ride along beside him here on earth.

When Kai stood up on his first wave he said to his mum on the trip home “I know this might sound a bit funny Mum, but I felt Dad with me today”.

As you can imagine mums eyes went to water. She was so proud of her boy standing up on the board, but that bitter sweet ache to the chest knowing how proud Dad would’ve been.

After finishing the program, he received his first board & had the courage to join the paddle out for his dads ashes.

💛 So proud of Kai and I know his Dad would be too. A difficult few days between Greg’s first birthday yesterday since he passed away and taking his ashes out today.
We have now taken Greg’s ashes out at Alex Headlands to where he wanted.
So proud of Kai, he’s been such a brave boy today.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on Instagram and to be honest I’m finding it hard to navigate the app with the recent changes so please hang with me as I get my head around it.

I have been focused on healing since my husband passed. Healing with my son Kai and trying to get our lives back on track since his Daddy and my Husband Greg grew his wings. It’s been a tough 7 months after he’s passed and my mental and emotional state has truly been tested. Nothing could have been as hard as watching our beautiful Greg suffer for 8 mths with a terrible rare and aggressive Gastric and Oesophageal Cancer. I find peace in knowing he is no longer suffering although it hasn’t made the burden of losing him any easier to bare and I can see that in our sons eyes on the days he feels shattered and lost without Dad here. We will truly miss him from the bottom of our hearts and know that everyday we sit by the ocean he is with us.

So to all those of you who have loved and lost ones so precious and dear to you, I am with you❤️. Carrying that burden yet looking ahead and being hopeful for more brighter days.

Blessed to have the love and support from all of our family, friends, local Sunny Coast charities and my beautiful and loyal customers who have continued to support us during this difficult time. I feel very loved 🥰 Thank you ❤️ ###x

This Sunny Coast local charity SalTy Souls Legacy provides support to kids who have been doing it tough. They have been an amazing support to my son Kai after a difficult year when his Dad passed away recently from a very short battle with an aggressive cancer.

What SalTy Souls provides is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other children who have also been through difficult life circumstances and finding therapy and healing in our beautiful coastline.

This comes with great sadness 😭💔 My heart is so broken my beautiful Greg has taken his last breath at 5.15am on Saturday 18th April 2020.

Kai’s and my world is shattered. I had taken Kai to see the sunrise 🌅 at Daddy’s favourite Beach at Alex on Saturday morning. That is where I told Kai that his Daddy had passed away sitting in Daddy’s favourite seat and Kai is so very distressed especially walking back into our home that day and seeing Dad in everything everywhere in our home.

Love you all so very much. Thank you for being so supportive the past 8 months.

We have been blessed to get 4 months more with our Greg to create precious moments with him.

It feels like it had taken me a lifetime to find a guy who would do the right thing by me and would treat me with respect and hold the same moral values as me. We’ve spent almost 16 beautiful years together and have a precious 10yr old son who is so much like his Daddy. Always wanting to make people laugh, always happy to put s**t on himself in order to bring a smile to someone’s face. Kai is Greg’s legacy and for me a source of comfort and gentle distraction from this heartache we have faced.

It’s been a devastating time and we will miss our beautiful Greg so dearly xoxoxo ❤️👱🏻‍♂️👱🏻‍♀️👦🏼

Our darling boy Kai has just turned 10 and we can not believe how quickly this year has flown.

It’s been a tough 6 months for this young man watching his Dad become so unwell and struggling to get his head around life at the moment. However we are looking forward to a peaceful and relaxed Christmas with family.

So from our Family to yours we wish you a beautiful Christmas full of love a precious moments with your family and friends too xoxo ❤️🎄

An amazing year with so many little cuties brand repping for me, parents who have sent in beautiful photos of their cherubs for me to feature or little sweeties modelling for us on the catwalk or for photoshoots for magazines. 🙌❤️ A massive Thank you to you all for an amazing year of support and sharing these moments you have captured with your little ones in 2019.
