This beautiful piece found its forever home before it was even finished 🤍

There’s something so special about someone seeing the vision before the final touches are complete. It sold in its raw, unfinished stage—a reminder that art doesn’t have to be perfect to be appreciated.

I can’t wait to seal it with love and send it off to the home it was always meant for. Knowing it already has a place waiting for it makes the creative process even more meaningful! 🫶🏾✨

👣National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day 2026

Today, 4 August, on National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day, we celebrate the heart of our communities—our children.

Every child carries the stories of those who came before them and the hope of those yet to come. They are our future leaders, artists, educators, athletes, Elders, knowledge keepers, and changemakers. They deserve to grow up knowing exactly who they are, where they come from, and that they belong.

Children’s Day has been celebrated every year on 4 August since 1988. It was created during a time when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices were standing strong for justice, recognition, and the future of our young people. The date also carries deep significance, as 4 August was once used as a shared birthday for many children of the Stolen Generations who were separated from their families and never knew their true birth date.

Today, we honour that history while celebrating the strength, resilience, and limitless potential of our children.

This year’s theme, “Living Our Truth,” reminds us that our stories matter. Our languages matter. Our cultures matter. Truth-telling isn’t about living in the past—it’s about honouring our ancestors, sharing knowledge across generations, and ensuring our children grow up proud of who they are.

As a proud Kabi Kabi woman, days like today remind me why community is so important. It takes all of us—parents, grandparents, Aunties, Uncles, Elders, teachers, mentors, and community members—to nurture, guide, and encourage our young people. Every act of kindness, every story shared, every dance, every song, every lesson on Country, and every opportunity we create becomes part of the foundation they stand on.

I am deeply committed to pouring into our children and young people because they are our future.

One day, when the time is right, they will rise and take their place alongside the generations before them. They will become our leaders, our teachers, our storytellers, our innovators, and the voices that continue carrying our culture forward.

I strive to give our children the very best head start because I know I can only go so far. I don’t want our young people to begin where I began, just as I didn’t have to begin where our Elders began. Every generation deserves the opportunity to start a little further ahead than the last.

That is the legacy I want to leave.

I often say that I want to be the rooftop our children begin from.

I want them to stand on my shoulders, see further than I ever could, dream bigger than I ever imagined, and accomplish things beyond my lifetime. If I can help build that foundation—through encouragement, opportunity, cultural pride, and genuine belief in their potential—then I know I’ve done my part.

Our responsibility isn’t simply to prepare children for the future. Our responsibility is to build a future where they know exactly who they are, where they come from, and that they can walk proudly in both worlds without ever compromising their identity.

Our children are our greatest investment. Every moment we spend encouraging them, listening to them, teaching them, believing in them, and creating safe spaces for them plants seeds that will continue to grow for generations to come.

To our children:

May you always know your worth.

May you always walk proudly in your identity.

May you always feel connected to your family, your community, your culture, and your Country.

May you never doubt that your voice matters.

May your dreams be bigger than ours, your opportunities greater than ours, and your future brighter because of the foundations we laid before you.

Today, we celebrate your laughter, your curiosity, your resilience, your strength, and your dreams.

Because every little footprint leaves a path toward a brighter future.

May we never stop investing in our children, because one day they will carry our stories forward.

🖤💛❤️💚💙🤍

Final pieces. 🤍

Making room for something new. Once these beauties are gone, they won’t be coming back… and I can’t wait to show you what’s next

🥹🥹 It’s a little bittersweet watching my earrings find their forever homes because each design started as an idea, a blank canvas, and a moment of creative inspiration. Every piece has been made by hand, carrying its own unique patterns, colours, and character.

As these last pieces make their way out into the world, it also means something exciting is just around the corner. A brand-new collection is on its way, with fresh designs, new creative energy, and plenty of surprises that I can’t wait to share with you.

If you’ve had your eye on something from my current collection, now’s the time. Once these pieces are gone, they’re gone for good.

I’m honestly obsessed with these trinket trays. 🤍

I really enjoy seeing the final result—because I never go in with a rigid plan. I simply choose a small palette of colours, let go of expectations, and just let the creative energy flow.

Every tray ends up with its own personality, and that’s what I love most. No two pieces are ever the same, and I think there’s something really special about creating from intuition instead of perfection.

It’s a little reminder that sometimes the best things happen when you trust the process… and trust yourself 🫶🏾🤎

I was incredibly fortunate to attend the NAIDOC celebration at Meridan State College, where we came together to celebrate our young people, our Country, our culture, and 50 years of NAIDOC.

Days like this remind me how lucky I am to belong to such a strong and supportive community. Watching our young people embrace their culture, connect with one another, and celebrate who they are fills me with so much hope for the future.

Being able to give back to my community is something I never take for granted. If I can encourage even one young person to keep going, believe in themselves, and continue working towards their dreams and goals, then I know I’m making a difference.

Our young people are our future. They carry the strength, resilience, and stories of those who came before them, and I can’t wait to see all they will achieve. Today was a beautiful reminder of the importance of celebrating our culture, lifting each other up, and creating spaces where our next generation can thrive.

What a privilege it is to celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC alongside such an incredible community. 🤍 Thank you Leesa for the invitation. Thank you Darren Smith BridgetteChilli Hazelle Mace

Finding Beauty in the Everyday

Lately, I’ve found myself slowing down.

Not because life has become less busy—it hasn’t—but because creating has reminded me that beauty lives in the little moments. These new trinket trays have become more than just another product in my collection. They’ve become a gentle reminder that even the smallest corners of our homes deserve a little joy.

I love imagining where they’ll end up. Resting on a bedside table, holding the earrings someone wears every day. Sitting by the front door with a set of keys after a long day. On a desk, collecting tiny treasures while adding a pop of colour to a workspace. They’re simple pieces, but they’re made to be part of everyday life.

As an artist, that’s something really important to me.

Art doesn’t always have to hang on a wall. Sometimes it can be something you reach for every morning, something that quietly brightens your routine, or something that makes you smile as you walk past.

Each tray is painted by hand, one dot at a time. There’s something incredibly calming about that process. It asks me to slow down, to be present, and to trust that every tiny detail contributes to something bigger. In many ways, it reflects life itself.

When I create, the outside world becomes quieter. My mind settles, my heart feels lighter, and I get to pour a little piece of myself into every design. Knowing these pieces will become part of someone else’s home makes that process even more meaningful.

I hope when someone takes one of these trays home, they don’t just see a functional piece. I hope they see the care, the storytelling, and the intention behind every dot. I hope it encourages them to pause, appreciate the little things, and find beauty in the everyday—because sometimes, that’s where the most meaningful moments are found.

There’s something so special about creating pieces that become part of your everyday.

Lately, I’ve found so much joy in making these little trinket trays. They’re a reminder that beauty doesn’t have to be saved for special occasions—it can live in the small moments too. Holding your favourite jewellery, your keys after a long day, or the little treasures that make a house feel like home.

Finding joy in the everyday, one handcrafted piece at a time 💙✨
