Our 2026 Workshop calendar is now live on the website and also in your inbox. If you’ve never been to a class I can tell you that they are always so much fun! I wanted to put together a little behind the scenes look so you can see what happens over the two days.

Day 1: Measuring, choosing a size, learning how trace and grade between sizes.
The we make a mock up to test the fit and make any necessary adjustments to the pattern.

Day 2: Is all about learning those professional finishing techniques. Topstitching tips, pressing, hemming and more. I’ve been in the sewing industry for almost 20years so I love showing you things you never knew your sewing machine could do!

At the end of day two you get to take home a gorgeous, perfectly fitting, finished garment. I always make sure my students know two things!
♥️ We are making a YOU size. None of us are a “standard” size across all brands. So it’s important to know how to make adjustments and grade between sizes for your own unique shape!
♥️It’s not the finished garment that’s the most important. It’s all the tips and information you learn along the way. The garment at the end is the bonus.

The only way we grow and get better is by stepping outside our comfort zone and trying new things. I hope you are able to join me for an upcoming workshop.

I realized that I forgot to post this reel but, I did a thing!!!!! I must say I was very heavily influenced by .pockets .does and with their adventures into using their .
So off I trot down to my local while they had a sale on Cricut machines. I grabbed myself a Maker3 and have just managed to cut my first successful vinyl. This weekend the girls and I are going to have to help teach each other all that we’ve learnt so far. Please tag me in all your favorite Cricut accounts so I can get some inspiration!!!

Happy Twenty Twenty THRIVE!!! Somehow January has felt like an entire year full of lots of ups and a few downs. Thought I’d give you all a little life update and then share what’s coming up for Sew To Grow for the rest of the year.
The good: We spent lots of time with friends, went camping in our new camper, and had the best night EVER at the Luke Combs Concert 🤠
I’ve also really enjoyed teaching a few more pilates classes and honing in on new skills that challenge me.
The bad: Had over $10k stolen from my business account and as a small business that is a significant amount of money to just have disappear. It also means I have been spending countless hours fighting with the bank and another website to try and resolve the issue. Plus I got Covid again and that knocked me out for a week.

Needless to say, I am so happy to have the longest month ever behind me and really excited for what’s to come. New patterns are in the works and will be released in the coming months. Plus, my calendar is fully booked until August with sewing workshops I’ll be teaching. I’ll be putting out a newsletter next week with the dates and locations. So make sure you’re signed up so that you’ll be able to see all the new dates and locations.
