First week school is back & I’m excited to be getting back into the swing of things! This simply sweet hamper was just received at it’s new home in Canberra.

I was blessed to be able to create this gorgeous gift hamper for an incredible new Mum & her beautiful new baby girl.
It’s such a beautiful way to show a new Mama that she has not been forgotten among the excitement surrounding the new baby’s arrival.

Hi there! So I thought today that I’d introduce myself for those of you who don’t know too much about me OR for those wanting to know more, so here goes!

I’m Bek, I am the Mama behind Hello Little Bear. I am blessed to have my amazing supportive husband Matt .noonan & our 2 beautiful children.
I love living here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast & feel so lucky to call here home.

I started making gift hampers as a hobby back in 2017 whilst being a stay at home Mum to my now 7yo daughter. I then had to take an extended maternity break part way through the pregnancy with my son (due to some health challenges including Hypermesis Gravidarum) I needed to focus on my baby’s & my health first. During this time I was able to research & personally test so many amazing products!

I then relaunched my new gift hampers.
I’m SO proud to offer products from many incredible brands that also align with my core values.
I try to be conscious of the impact my business has on our environment & our planet.
Here at Hello Little Bear, I aim to stock products that are not only great quality from many local /Australian Small businesses but are sustainable, eco friendly products or have packaging that can be reused, regifted or recycled.
This includes many unique, handmade
high quality products, where many are made from natural or certified organic ingredients (I’m very mindful about what products we consume or go on our bodies also).

BEST of all I Love being able to choose products that give back! Some products I stock, a percentage of their sale goes to a charity to help other families/people in need.
So you are not only giving to the gift recipient when you purchase my hampers, you are actually giving to others in need also!

Are you stuck on what to get when it comes to buying for a new baby?

Here’s a baby gift buying tip that may help!

It can sometimes be very overwhelming searching for what gifts to buy, especially when it comes to choosing a gift for a new baby & their parents.

If you don’t have children of your own, you may not know where to begin or what type of products to look for & what will be useful.
Even as parents what has worked for us may not for others, as of course, we are all so beautifully different.
There are some great tips to help keep us on the right track though.

Look for good quality, practical gifts that the parents will love to use for their precious new baby.
Some of the best items are the ones they haven’t gotten around to buying yet or they can always use more of.

For example, add something practical & useful into it such as a quality baby body wash.
When choosing a baby body wash make sure that it’s suitable for sensitive skin or is baby-specific & a “tear-free” formula.

New babies have delicate & often sensitive skin. Make sure the ingredients are natural organic ingredients without all the nasty harsh chemicals.
Parabens, sulphates/SLS, synthetic preservatives & artificial fragrances are often found in body washes or skincare products & they can irritate or even harm a baby’s skin.

Essential oils or botanical extracts are also often used just to create natural fragrances, which may still aggravate sensitive skin so it can be important to find the right balance & right one for that new baby.

Keeping this in mind when choosing one as a gift shows not only that you have put a lot of thought into it but that you really care & it will be greatly appreciated by the parents as it will be one less thing for them to worry about.

To the mum without her village.

The mum who started a family, whilst living away from her own.
I know how entirely alone you feel at times. How you crave an extra pair of hands. A friendly face. A casual cuppa and a chat. A knock on the door that isn't the postman.

There are no date nights. No brief reprieves. Your partner, and your partner alone, is your entire village. Liable at times to bend and break.

As lockdown eased, you wondered what's really changed as you looked on enviously at those distanced doorstep reunions.
