“As much as I love pats, and games, and people, and food… I love my handler most of all, and keeping her safe is my most favourite thing.”

We had the most delightful morning reading My Name is Jemima at storytime today, learning all about the important job that Jemima the guide dog does to help her handler, as well as the ways we can best help guide dogs do their jobs too! As always, Allison Colpoys’ illustrations offer zing and zip and make you feel like Jemima might just leap off the page ♥️

✨ Story Time is back! ✨

Please join us in our cosy kids room at 10.00am on Monday mornings to read three stories with our brilliant children’s booksellers, Marina and Kasey. We choose a mix of new release and classic picture books to appeal to a wide audience!

Why not make a morning of it - Get the wriggles out at Steamroller Park, come to story time, visit the Coventry Library for a browse, borrow and play, before finishing off with a babycino at one of our wonderful cafes or ice cream from our very favourite Hokey Pokey ♥️

✨🦕 Birthday Shopping for a 3 Year Old 🐛✨

Esther, who we affectionately refer to as the 📚Bookshop Baby 📚 is turning three tomorrow! I’ll be wrapping these beautiful books to join our library at home!

🎂 The Birthday Music Book - This book has the most delightful illustrations following little mouse as she wakes up on her birthday, goes out to pick flowers in the woods, then returns home to discover all her friends and family are ready to surprise her with a birthday party! This is a perfect introduction to the world of classical music.

🍃 Patience - We’ve been talking a lot about patience at home, especially in the lead up to her special day. I love how this book illustrates all manner of things that take time, and I’m confident this will be a book that grows with Esther.

🦕 Dinosaurs have long been a favourite in our house, and we’re ready to start learning a bit more about them. I love Usborne books as an engaging and interactive introduction to big topics!

🐞 The Bug Book - This is such a fun read-aloud for storytime on the couch at any time of the day. We’ll be reading this one everyday!

🐛 Bugs - We have collected the other books in this series, and absolutely adore the colours, illustrations and messages. This will be a well loved addition to the set.
