Your Tuesday morning commute.

You're 8 minutes walk from Sydenham Metro. Newtown's cafés are around the corner. Marrickville's weekend markets are a quick trip away. And when you need the CBD, it's closer than most people realise.

A new Nation Neighbourhood is coming to Precinct 75, an address right where inner west culture meets seamless Sydney access. The kind of place where your mornings feel different, your weekends open up, and the city finally feels like it works around you.

Good things take time. This is one of them.

Designed to trade. Built to last.
Something new is coming to St Peters and there's space for the right businesses to be part of it.
Precinct 75 is a new Nation community opening retail and commercial tenancies in one of Sydney's most sought-after inner west neighbourhoods.

AN EVOLVING LANDMARK: PRECINCT 75

Brick holds memory. Steel holds stories. An industrial landmark in St Peters, evolving into a mixed-use destination for the Inner West.

Not reinvention.
Continuation.

Resident artist Luke Cornish has launched something special. To help share the story of Australia’s stencil art movement, he’s donating 500 copies of ELK – The Stencil Art of Luke Cornish and Cut (celebrating ten years of the Australian Stencil Art Prize) to public schools and libraries across the country.

“This project is deeply personal to me. The Australian public school system is underfunded and under-resourced, yet exposure to art can be transformative. I believe that inspiring a young person through such gifts can spark creativity and open new pathways, just as it did for me many years ago.” — Luke Cornish

Head to .l.k to donate and support this project.

What happens when new technology meets a dying art? What about when urban grit becomes wearable fashion? And how does the story of a place get told through many different voices — and visions?

We’re about to find out, as we begin transforming Precinct 75 into a creative test site.

Today we walked our resident artists and designers through: mapped the space, made connections, and dreamed big ideas under steel beams and raw light.

Over the coming months, we’ll start activating this place with something it’s never seen before, but has been waiting for.

Details dropping soon.

An aerial view of St Peters, 1943.

Before laneway breweries and creative studios. Before “Inner West” was a brand or “precinct” was part of the language.

It was a working suburb. Tough. Industrial. Unapologetically functional.

Now? It’s shifting — and we’re part of that shift. From paintworks to public spaces. From chemical plants to cultural projects.

We’re building on what’s been. With open eyes and clear air.

Can you spot us?

It’s not nostalgia. It’s reimagining.

These stairs once carried the weight of industry: boots, crates, purpose built into every tread. Now they sit in the stillness between past and future. Not retired. Just catching a second wind.

Soon, they’ll move differently, carrying a new kind of momentum. Culture, retail, people coming and going.

Same bones. New spirit.

There’s a kind of poetry in the rust and dust. In the way old machines sit still, yet seem to hum with memory.

We’re spending time in these spaces, learning their rhythms, their materials, their moods.

Transformation begins with observation.

From 1901 to 1996, Precinct 75 was home to Taubmans’ first paint factory, where pigments were mixed, labels printed, and big ideas put in tins. Like this one: a ‘duo-plastic’ paint promising no smell, no mess, and no hard work, from a 1963 Pacific Islands Monthly ad.

Before we dig into the ground, we’re digging into the archives — unearthing curious relics from the site’s industrial past. Creativity has always been made here. It just looked a little different back then.
