Love the afternoon light in Cabarita Beach. Finally our bulk heads are plastered and my gorgeous lampshades made by in fabric can be fully shown off ❤️❤️❤️

In February 2022 our house in Bogangar was flooded. It’s been a stressful renovation after the Northern NSW floods due to lack of trades, delays with insurance and no preparation in planning a large renovation living 8 hours away. were really good in our experience and we were able to engage a builder ourselves. This meant we could change some things like not relaying tiles and polishing concrete other than the two wet areas.

First room reveal 😆

Laundry

Tiles: bought off Facebook marketplace, husband drove 4 hour round trip to get them for our shower downstairs. Tiler mucked up tiles and now the laundry has very beautiful green tiles.
Cabinetry: colours High Gate and Matt Black with a v grove, fantastic cabinet maker Richie, who listened to what we wanted and worked with our random ideas.
Appliances: we wanted them at the same height as each other as this will be our retirement home, I love that the colour fits so well with the black cupboards bought from .com.au on sale 😀
Handles: are fantastic with service and we have used them on the new interal doors in matt black and on all new cabinetry.
Other: for all tapware and our sink. Had an issue with taps I chose in the main bathroom, no problems with an exchange highly recommend them.

What would we do differently?

The floor tiles, they were a last minute online switch and a bit too porous so soak up dirt easily.

Some hanging space to dry shirts

Black doors over the cupboards over the appliances. They get a bit dusty with fluff and powder.

Otherwise love it and not looking forward to heading back to a kitchen washing machine and dryer combo in a cupboard next week.
