What does reverse cycle actually cost to run? It moves heat from outside into the room. For every kilowatt of electricity it draws, it shifts roughly three to four kilowatts of warmth inside.

That's why it does more with the energy it uses than a plug-in heater can.

What it costs you comes down to your own electricity plan, so it's worth doing the sum on your tariff before you assume.
