From 9am–12pm, our wonderful vendors will be putting up some fabulous goodies for auction! 😍

Bidding will stay OPEN until Sunday at 6pm, unless an item reaches its RRP beforehand… so keep an eye on anything you’ve got your heart set on! 👀💜

🛍️ SATURDAY – BARGAIN DAY!

Our vendors will be bringing you some fantastic specials with at least 20% OFF RRP! 🎉

🦋 ON THE MAKING TABLE TODAY 🦋

Today’s little production line… glasses pouches! 👓✂️🧵

There’s a bit more hiding inside these little pouches than you might think!

🦋 Beautiful printed cotton for the outside
🤍 Fusible fleece for some extra padding and structure
👓 Soft microfibre lining to help protect those precious lenses

Everything is cut, layered and pieced together by hand before it even heads to the sewing machine.

And apparently making one tiny glasses pouch requires approximately half the contents of my craft room 🤣✂️🧵

And this isn’t even everything! 😆 The snaps that hold them closed AND the snap press still haven’t made it onto the table yet!

It’s funny how something that looks so simple when it’s finished has so many little steps, layers, tools and bits involved behind the scenes. 💜

But that’s all part of handmade… and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🥰

Now, back to my little glasses-pouch production line! 👓🦋💜

Crochet business boss babe?
ALWAYS! 🧶💜

When you run a handmade business apparently everywhere is an acceptable workplace 🤣

On the couch? Yep.
Sitting in bed? Absolutely.
At markets? Obviously.
Waiting at appointments? You bet.
In the passenger seat of the car? HOOK ME UP! 🧶🤣

One of my favourite things about crochet is that I can pack up my little crochet case, grab a few balls of yarn and take my work pretty much anywhere with me.

So while someone else is driving, I’m over here turning travel time into making time 🙌🏼

Because when you’re a small handmade business owner, there’s always something on the hook! 💜

💜 Packaged with love, handled with care 💜

One of my favourite parts of an order is getting everything ready to head off to its new home 🥰

Because for me, the handmade part doesn’t finish when I put down my crochet hook or turn off my sewing machine.

It’s folding everything carefully, adding the little finishing touches, wrapping it all up and knowing that soon someone gets to open a parcel that was made especially for them. 🎁✨

Every order that leaves Made with Love by Megs has had real hands making it, checking it, folding it and packaging it with care.

No big warehouse. No production line.

Just me, my craft room, probably several half-finished projects surrounding me 🤣, and a whole lot of love going into every parcel. 💜🧶

Nobody talks about the occupational hazards of crafting 🤣

Today’s casualty: my thumb 👍🏼🩸

And apparently, despite having seven people in this house, the ONLY waterproof bandaid I could find was a kids one 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

So here I am… crocheting away with my very stylish kids bandaid, DOUBLE WRAPPED for extra protection because we take workplace health & safety very seriously around here 🤣🤣🫡

Don’t worry… my thumb is completely covered, double wrapped and nowhere near anyone’s orders 😂🙌🏼

Handmade with love… and occasionally held together with children’s first aid supplies 🤣🧶💜

Please tell me I’m not the only adult who ends up wearing the kids’ bandaids because they’re somehow the ONLY ones left?! 🤣

Tonight I’m working with this ADORABLE little koala fleece 🐨🌿 paired with the prettiest aqua and I’m already loving how it’s coming together!

Made from 100% cotton, these little beauties are soft, washable and reusable 💜 Perfect for removing makeup, cleansing your face or just replacing disposable cotton rounds in your bathroom.

And apparently my original sneak peek was a little TOO mysterious because some of your guesses had me giggling 🤣🤣 and also gave me loads of ideas 💜

I absolutely love how these turned out, especially in all these gorgeous bright colours! 🌈

And more importantly… HOW ARE YOUR HANDS?! 🤣

I absolutely love seeing all the gorgeous little crochet creatures people make and I really wish I could make more of them myself. But my hands definitely have other ideas 😅 After working tightly on amigurumi for a while, they start aching and I have to give them a break.

I made this little jellyfish for Lily and I absolutely adore how she turned out 🥹💜 I’d happily have an entire army of handmade creatures if my hands would cooperate!
