๐ซ Vaccination Changes from July 1st โ What You Need to Know
Did you know that pneumonia can be a serious illness, especially for older adults and people with certain health conditions?
Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs that can make breathing difficult and may lead to hospitalisation or serious complications.
From 1 July, changes to the National Immunisation Program (NIP) mean more Australians may be eligible for protection against pneumococcal disease, a common cause of pneumonia.
Who is at higher risk?
โ๏ธ Adults aged 65 years and over
โ๏ธ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
โ๏ธ People with certain chronic medical conditions or weakened immune systems
