Round 1 Recap: Part 2 Elmore Jetboats | LS Class
Plenty of close racing, setup development and data analysis for our LS Class clients at the opening round of the Australian V8 Superboats Championship at Elmore. Here’s how the teams went.
Matt & Mitch Malthouse | Nood Nutz Racing | P3 Mitch
Both Matt and Mitch were right in the mix with the fastest LS boats throughout the day, pushing each other & putting in some impressive times. Matt was the quicker of the two before an error in the Top 12 ended his chances. Mitch then stepped up, finding the pace to challenge for P2 but finished P3. A strong start to the season and plenty of positives to take away.
Ron & Tyler O’Day | Agrovation Racing | P6 Tyler
A challenging weekend for the Agrovation crew as we continued working through different jet unit combinations to find the performance we know the package is capable of. Tyler brought the boat home in 6th and while there’s still more pace to find, the engine & boat ran faultlessly on the day. Ron and Tyler on the development side to get them further up the field where we know they can be.
Koby Bourke | Lil Psycho | P7
Another solid weekend for Koby who continues to develop as a driver & find more pace with every round. The boat ran great, allowing us to concentrate on data analysis & jet unit setup. Following our discussions & data reviews, Koby made a few changes throughout the day & continued improving his times. It’s always rewarding to see our clients put that feedback into practice & make progress on track.
Across our six supported packages at Elmore, the engines & systems performed reliably, allowing us to focus on data analysis, tuning & finding those small improvements that make a difference on race day.
A huge thank you to our clients for their continued trust in JRE. It’s always great to be trackside & see the teams bring these kinds of results home.
Congratulations to all competitors and everyone involved in bringing jet sprint racing back to Victoria at Elmore Jetboats
