The price of stump grinding is about to go up (again).

Don’t want to be all doom and gloom, but stump grinding and just about anything else that uses tungsten carbide is about to get a whole lot more expensive.

Why? The world’s chaotic. The price of the raw materials used to produce tungsten carbide products has absolutely SKYROCKETED (up over 250% now) over the past 18 months, and it’s not slowing down at all.

If you’re interested in why it’s actually skyrocketing, inbox us, Google it, ask ChatGPT ect.

What does this mean?

There’s going to be a small price hike on our products soon, and likely another shortly after until the commodity price stabilises. We’re honestly just trying to stay afloat, not cash in.

Unless someone has stockpiled, any company selling decent-quality, non-recycled tungsten products has already raised prices or will be very soon.

Will you be raising your prices or absorbing the loss?

Today marks Arbteeth’s 5th birthday!! 🄳

It’s also the day we’ve received correspondence that our U.S. utility patent application has FINALLY been successfully filed with the USPTO!

Now why have we gone through the long and expensive process of getting a US patent? Stay tuned to find out šŸ˜Ž

New year, New cutter wheel? Give your grinder a late Chrissy present šŸŽ

What a year it’s been!!

It’s been an absolute pleasure dealing with 98% of you lot šŸ˜‚

Cutter wheel sales have blown past expectations, plenty of happy customers and a lot of very unhappy stumps.

Next year should be even bigger. We’ve got a few things in the works and the majority of profits will be reinvested straight back into the business to help you guys work faster, harder, and more efficiently.

There’s one idea in development that should make Greenteeth users pretty very happy if it works out but it’ll need proper development and real-world testing first, but more on that soon šŸ‘€

Genuinely, thank you to all our customers - past, present, and future. I’ve loved every bit of building Arbteeth, and your support means the world to us.

Happy New Year and stay tuned for 2026!

A post I really didn’t want to write, but you all deserve transparency.

Over the past 12 to 18 months the cost of the raw materials used to make stump grinding teeth, specifically tungsten carbide and the cobalt binder, has gone absolutely ballistic. Some tungsten feedstock materials have risen by over 100 percent in the past 12 months alone.

What this means for now:
Prices will have to increase slightly, but not immediately. We will keep everything as-is until our current stock is cleared later this year.

Good news:
Pockets, bolts, wear pads, cutter wheels etc anything that doesnt have carbide in it will stay the same price.

We’re not out here trying to line our pockets. We just want to maintain the same margins we had 18 months ago and keep supplying quality parts without cutting corners. We have always used premium grade virgin raw materials and we will always continue to do so.

Potentially next year, if there’s interest, we may bring in a budget series line using recycled tungsten carbide to sit alongside the premium range. It won’t perform at the same level, but it will give a cheaper option for those who want it. Won’t name and shame but I can guarantee there is already a few people selling grinder teeth that use recycled tungsten, they just don’t mention it lol.

Appreciate all of you legends for the support.

Own a Carlton / Red Roo machine with a Sandvik style cutter wheel? Sick of hard facing? Want lower costs and maintenance? A cutter wheel that will genuinely last a lifetime?

A couple real time videos of the Arbteeth ACW15 doing some damage. The Stump Humper has proven to be a very solid platform for this type of cutter wheel. Huge upgrade! Available on the website now.

Huge thanks to Tim Haydon for being the Guinea pig 🐹

We had this cutter wheel in the shop for a while unfinished as I was a little doubtful it would work well on a Stump Humper.

Thought the added weight would be an issue but it’s only an extra 5-6kgs which actually proved to be really beneficial, the wheel doesn’t kick and buck as much as the standard Greenteeth setup.

Didn’t think 25hp would be enough power to make good use of the sandvik style cutter teeth and was again proven wrong, it cranks.

This would also fit a Red Roo SHP400

Will have more pics / vids once a little more testing is done. Tim Haydon from Coastal Stumps is doing the testing, I’m sure he will chime in at some point. But so far he seems really happy with it

Link in comments with pricing ect.
