After some long thought during late nights and mornings preparing for markets, it’s time for Dear Valentine Chocolate to move into the next phase.

We’re shifting away from regular markets to focus on what we love doing best of… making more of the seed to bar, certified organic, refined sugar free chocolate you love, and getting it into more hands through our growing wholesale family. It’s also time to start focusing on getting the shop open.

It doesn’t mean DVC is disappearing completely. We’ll still be at markets for pickup only at Tasmanian Organic Coffee Co. The website will start to reflect the locations for pickup, or you may wish to send a direct order or request through to us.

It’s been a tough decision and your smiley faces and amazing feedback has fuelled me through the long days and nights of prep. It’s a little pull back but I promise what is coming in replacement of my market energy will be worth it.

Dear Valentine Chocolate was birthed as a contradiction to the commercial Valentine’s Day that has been pushed for monetary gain.

A valentine was historically at some stage a loved one. It was about connecting with one another, rejoicing. I wanted to be responsible for being able to spark a feeling and a connection to whoever or whatever that loved thing could be.

In the Age of Aquarius, it’s necessary more than ever.

The vessel was the chocolate. Cacao with its unique ability to open the heart, especially at high strength. This melding of the cacao creations on offer and the feeling I wanted to shine through became the complementary catalysts.

This year, my friend and I decided we wanted to create a fusion of our values around connection. This is not a Valentine’s Day gift. Though it is indeed conveniently available as an offering from now.

Helena has recently been on a journey alongside copper and the mitochondria mother. The pendants, either with Shungite or Aura Quartz hold their own unique abilities alongside copper. Copper provides a protective frequency in your personal field to deflect and discharge harmful energies, helping you stay grounded and centred within your own presence.

The cacao I have to offer has taken on an imagining, inspired by the time of arrival from the first cacao in Europe from Meso America. Imagine a bridge, where we place ourselves in a time that we took cacao offerings and knowledge from elders with graciousness. That the infusion of our wisdom and theirs (still thriving today) is respected with reason. There was a reason for every inclusion.

So, I decided to not choose a single winner.
