After lengthy consideration I have decided that I will no longer be doing repairs and alterations. This is due to an increase in work and family commitments. As they say our girls will only be small for a short amount of time and I wish to spend as much of my spare time with them as possible. Sewing time seems to be becoming scarcer the older our twinnies get. Occasionally I may have the odd item for sale. Thank you for your support over the past 2 years. Gen

I have been quiet on here of late but quite the opposite in the sewing room.
So many things on the go:
- a clergy shirt
- a sea themed quilt
- dance costumes galore
- picture patchwork cushion covers
- ladies harem pants
- tutu's
- lots and lots and lots of alterations
.. so in saying that I apologise if items are taking longer than normal to complete. As I am a work from home mum (and a teacher), I have limited time to dedicate to sewing and I really appreciate everyone's understanding and continued support.

Please spread the word, as of December 1st I will not be taking any new job requests until the New Year. This will give me a chance to catch up on a few things but come 2014 I am happy to continue assisting you with any of your sewing needs.

A local resident who originally hails from Tasmania contacted me and ordered a tutu. She later told me that the tutu was for a little girl named Ella, who was recovering from cancer treatment and that she had not met Ella but had learnt of her story through Facebook. This week she will personally deliver the tutu to Ella on a trip back to Tassie for the school holidays. We need more generous and thoughtful people like this in our world. Hopefully, in the near future, I can share with you some photos of Ella wearing her tutu.

I would also like to acknowledge and thank Vicki Tate from Fabrics n' More who gave me 9 beautiful butterfly decorations at cost price.
