To our Valued Customers

To all our customers we wish to express our deepest gratitude for your loyal and unwavering support over the decades. You have been the heart and soul of Russells ever since Len commenced the business in 1955.Many have become personal friends and are like family. It has been great sharing chats thru thick and thin and witnessing the many changes of fashion trends. Myself and staff have enjoyed providing professional and personal service to all our customers. we have also enjoyed seeing the dreams and aspirations of so many talented individuals who have turned bolts of fabric into work of art.

We wish to thank all of you for your well wishes and words of kindness that you have given to us over the past month. There has even been a few tears between the smiles.

We are extremely grateful for your support, your friendship and love that you all have shown over the years. The legacy of Russells that all staff and customers have made will live on forever. Thank you for being part of all the history.

It is with Mixed emotions that we announce that after 71 years, Russell's Fabrics are closing their doors permanently.

It is time for Michael to hang up his scissors and retire.

Russell's Fabrics opened its doors in Sandgate in the year 1955, by Michael's father Len. At that time Russell's Fabrics was the epitome of Old Time Drapery Store, stocking Fabrics, Manchester, Ladies wear, School wear, Shoes, Haberdashery and many other items.

Michael started at Russell's in 1968 at the age of 15. Working under the guidance of his Dad, Len Harrison. They worked for many years together, building a business, that truly is a standout when it comes to Fabric stores.

Over the years we have had the pleasure of having wonderful Customers, come through our doors.

So come on in and enjoy 30% off everything.
