The calendar is filling up nicely already! 14 fairs have announced dates, with the majority crammed into just 4 weekends. Most of the clashes are pretty geographically far apart, which won't bother visitors, but might trouble performers and stall-holders.
Melbourne Renfair has sold out all tickets for their inaugural May event in just a few hours, catching many fans apparently by surprise. Clearly this is an exciting and highly anticipated addition to the calendar.
Abbey Medieval Festival have announced that tickets will go on sale 'early/mid 2026', and these have also started to sell out very quickly, so be sure to sign up for notifications if you're keen.
The team from Events & Festivals Australia haven't announced any dates for Newcastle, Queanbeyan or Geelong yet, having just wrapped the first Geelong Medieval Festival, but assure us that they will be back. Stay tuned for news early next year.
Southern Realm Festival will be back next August in a bigger, better two day format and Armour and Alchemy fair have confirmed they will also be back for a second year, dates to come. That's fantastic news for these new events.
History Alive: A Journey Through Time is also back, with a major venue shift to the Ipswich Showground. An exciting development for this venerable re-enactor run event.
