Our last mystery proved to be a tricky one, but once again the Reviva community came through 💚♻️
Plenty of you identified the mysterious tool as an adjustable screw plate, often referred to as a thread chaser or die plate. These are commonly used by watchmakers, jewellers or engineers to create mini screws or repair threads on small rods and wires.
It’s amazing what we discover with your help and shared knowledge. Thank you to everyone who joined in and shared their insights.
