Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the team at the Puzzle People/ A Bit Curious! It has been a rather strange year for us, what with the move to Richmond and merging into the "Puzzle People" and we appreciate all of the support from customers old and new who have seen us through the transition. Thanks, so much to Maria and Glenn also for embracing us into your lives. We hope that you and your families all have a safe and fantastic Christmas and New Year and we hope to see you all again soon! And remember, as a certain little mouse once said... It's All Aboard for Christmas! Toot Toot!

You know the rule of thumb in life? Avoid the exploding kitten... It can blow up in your face in more ways than expected, believe us! In the same way, you can avoid the queues and the rat race by coming out to the Puzzle People/ A Bit Curious in Edward Street, Richmond in the lead up to Christmas. We're stocked up with games, puzzles and collectibles including the now infamous "Exploding Kittens" range... And hey, if you don't like cruelty to cats (and we don't, we're cat lovers at heart), you can grab a copy of "Exploding Minions", which is based on the hit series of films! Just grab your banana and shout a hearty "Bello!" before you begin! With easy (and free) parking, coffee shops and curio shops aplenty, why wouldn't you want to come out to Richmond and enjoy in the fun?

And here it is... for some one of the most important days of the year! It's the 23rd of November 2022... It is Doctor Who's 59th Anniversary! We are almost there to the sixtieth!!! Most of us have been there for nearly all of our lives as a Doctor Who fan (Bonnie the bear has only just jumped on board) and we all have our own favourite eras and characters (mine isn't half obvious from these photos!!!!) and that's what makes this show so special. It's inclusive of everyone who wants to embrace it. You may not like certain Doctors or a few of the iterations of the Master, or you may have found the last Dalek story just one too far, but there is always a special period of Doctor Who's history that will always be dear to your heart. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of the Doctors (a count of seventeen to date if you include Peter Cushing and we always do...), the companions, the monsters, the writers and each and every member of all of those production crews. You made something special and dare I say it, timeless in its own way. You have spurred on imaginations, taught people that it is okay to be just that little bit different and shown us all how to be heroic and selfless. Good luck to Russell T. Davies, David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Yasmin Finney, Bernard Cribbins, Neil Patrick Harris, Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson towards the future of our beloved science fiction show... We all can't wait. The future looks awesome! We are waiting with baited breath to hear that special noise again... Vworp! Vworp! Happy 59th Birthday Doctor Who!

See this selection of "Metal Earth" products from our customer Ian Bett. Ian has completed a pretty impressive arrange of these build models and has become an undisputed master of the metal! We have a huge collection of Metal Earth products from the basic vehicles and landmarks to the more licensed array of this range such as Harry Potter, Doctor Who and Star Wars. Come on in to "The Puzzle People/ A Bit Curious" in Richmond to check them out! Well done Ian on your handiwork! Keep bringing those photos in! We love 'em!

Sad to see in the news the passing of British actor Robbie Coltrane. Coltrane had had a distinguished career in such roles as Hagrid in the Harry Potter films, Cracker and Nuns on the Run, but the role that we remember him in the most at a Bit Curious is as Valentin Dmitrovich Zukovsky in the Pierce Brosnan James Bond films. Rest in Peace Robbie. You have been taken at such a young age. Thanks for all the entertainment!

Everyone had a great time at the Puzzle Challenge on Saturday, raising money for Acorn LI-VE Tasmania. It was a fantastic event and we'd like to say thank you to everyone involved, especially John and Ceri for helping us set up and pack down, members of the Acorn group for selling their scrumptious wares and running the barbeque and especially Maria and Glenn who put in so much effort to make this the success it was. Maria and Glenn run these events tirelessly every year and are the true unsung heroes of the money that is raised for the various charities involved. As you can see from the photos below, Bonnie was in attendance, showing off her new funky puzzle apron and we'd also like to give a big shout out to Anne Kaye, one of the "A Bit Curious" stalwarts who by her own admission, hadn't done a puzzle in years! Well done for taking part Anne. We are proud of your efforts on the day!
