Our first unisex name for Aries season is Ash!

More commonly used as a boy's name, this one has been gaining popularity for girls because of it's neutral vibe. It's a strong, but cute name meaning both happy or blessed and ash tree, depending on the origin. There are a multitude of variations, including Asher, Ashton, Ashley, Aisling, and so on... But the simplicity of the name Ash has its own appeal.

Although the traditional meanings don't seem too aries-like, I've chosen this name for its association with fire. Ash as a substance, has somewhat of a juxtaposed nature, it is created through destruction, but it is very good for nurturing new growth too. It's giving Goddess Kali vibes.

A beautiful botanical name for a baby girl, Calanthe is both strong and exotic sounding. Derived from Greek, with the tell-tale "nthe" ending and pronounced KAL - AN - THEE, this name is sure to grab attention.

The most notable pop-culture reference of late is the appearance of the name in The Witcher. Queen Calanthe is Ciri's grandmother and ruler of Cintra before it's fall. She is written as a formidable woman, but also as a good and benevolent queen and loving (in her own way) grandmother.

Our first Pisces boy's name is Fionn, one of my personal favourites, and very nearly the name of my now 6 month old.

With a great history, Fionn is a beautiful sounding and interesting Irish name. While the female version, Fiona, is more widespread, Fionn seems to have missed the global takeover, which somehow only adds to the charm.

This name means fair, blonde or white and was the name of one of the most prominent heroes of Irish mythology. If you're wanting a good tale, such as that only the Irish could tell, look up Finn MacCool.

Today's baby name is a special one for me, as it's the name of my oldest!

Oberon is a very old name, the first version, Alberich, appears in an old Germanic tale around the 13th century as the name of a Dwarf in a Burgundian poem. A version of this early name also appears in Old Norse folklore as the ruler of the elves (Alfrikr). But how did we get to Oberon from Alberich? Enter French. The name morphed into Auberon in the early 13th century in a French tale where he appears as something of a side-kick to the protagonist, and though very handsome, is of a dwarfish height despite being an elf.

The name then further morphed into Oberon under English, and is most known through Shakespeare, though it is a name that appears in a handful of other tales throughout history.
More recently, the name popped up in it's variation, Oberyn, in George RR Martin's Game of Thrones, as the name of the Dornish Prince Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper and father of the Sand Snakes.

All in all, it's a pretty badass name with some super interesting roots.
